"REFLECTIONS" TRIPTYCH
Artist reflections exhibition July 2000

To commemorate the Millenium, members of the Decoupage Guild Australia Inc; under the guidance of Artist In Residence, Mr. Frank Baxter, worked to create this TRIPTYCH as a tribute to Art through the ages.

The TRIPTYCH comprises 168 hexagonal tiles (68 in the centre panel, 50 in each of the side panels).

Each tile was decoupaged using paintings by artists spanning from the First Century to the Year 2000.

These tiles were then mounted onto a decoupaged backboard, bordered and then framed in a complimentary style.

The total concept took eighteen months to complete and stands as a fine example of the art of Decoupage, and is a tribute to artists through the generations and the dedication of the members of the Decoupage Guild Australia Inc. who worked so willingly and hard to achieve the magnificent result you see before you.
